The Westin Chosun, Seoul, Korea  Situated in Seoul’s thriving business district, The Westin Chosun was the first western-style hotel in Korea when the original hotel opened in 1914. The luxury hotel is a source of national pride as the symbol of Korean hospitality, and was the only hotel in Korea to be named one of the ‘World’s Best Hotels’ on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2008 ‘Gold List’. Tihany Design redesigned the first floor public spaces, comprised of the hotel Lobby, Reception, Business Center, Circle Lounge; restaurant design for Ninth Gate Grille, Payard Patisserie, Aria Restaurant and the Vecchia e Nuovo café.

Notable artwork can be seen throughout public areas, from featured artists such as Arman Pierre Fernandaz and Zoe Ouvrir. On the second floor, elegant and luxurious, Meeting Rooms, the Banquet Reservation area, Wedding Preview showroom and consulting areas, are designed with silk carpeting and plush sofas giving new brides and their families the premiere treatment while planning their grand events.
