Mandarin Oriental Geneva

Mandarin Oriental Geneva Geneva, Switzerland.  Located in the heart of Geneva at the edge of the Rhone River, the Mandarin Oriental Geneva's seven-floor building has been recognized as a national landmark for its modern architecture. In 2008, Tihany Design was commissioned to recreate the entire ground floor including the main hotel entrance, the reception/front desk area, the two main restaurants, Michelin Star Chef Vineet Bhatia’s Rasoi and legendary Paul Bocuse’s Le Sud, with their re-conceived enclosed sidewalk café areas, and the addition of a new bar/lounge.

The overall design concept is contemporary and fresh, giving a strong and memorable design identity to each of the diverse areas, while maintaining an effortless elegance and harmony among them. Designed to increase the visibility of the bar, all day restaurant, and to energize the public space, the overall ambience is dynamic, reflecting the international character of Geneva. Separately, the specialty Indian restaurant, Rasoi by Michelin Star Chef Vineet Bhatia, emphasizes its “freestanding” identity, positioned as one of Geneva’s signature star restaurants.
