MO Bar Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. Located in the heart of Central Hong Kong, Tihany Design conceived the public spaces, bar and Amber, a Michelin starred restaurant at this uber-fashionable, 113-room boutique hotel. A modern interpretation of a classic luxe-deco stone and mosaic tiled floored lobby welcomes guests to the hotel. An impressive mahogany stairway enclosure leads to the reception area featuring a library with the latest books in architecture, design and fashion. Three imposing 4 meter-high camel color upholstered leather panels are the gateway to a powerful and stylish Bar and Lounge. Chameleon-like design features--that transform the bar from day to night--adapt the space to the time of day and create an entirely different setting and feeling.
