Hangar One Scottsdale, Arizona. Hangar One, a private aviation club at the Scottsdale, Arizona airport, is a cutting-edge facility and an unprecedented design project. In collaboration with Swaback Partners of Scottsdale, the airport hangar was custom-built for a local businessman who’s also a pilot and a flight enthusiast. Hangar One is a whimsical array of structures, shapes, and forms that combine to create a striking visual and sensorial complex. The sophisticated private club facilities were designed for use before and after members’ flights and include two hangars, four lounges, entrance lobby, vintage car gallery, entertainment annex, aviation shop, catering facilities, offices, and restrooms.
