Casa MANNI Rome. Overlooking Rome’s beautiful Baroque rooftops, Casa MANNI offers a unique hospitality concept: a penthouse for two in the historic heart of Rome offering guests exclusive access to the best of Roman life and culture – from sessions with the finest art experts, chefs, tailors, historians, chefs, sommeliers, lifestyle, and shopping. Situated a few steps from the Patheon, Trevi Fountain, and Adriano’s Temple, the casa boasts an unparalleled view of the famous column of Marcus Aurelio through its windows. Adam D. Tihany conceived a luxurious space in harmony with both its historic setting and Rome’s modern-day style. Casa MANNI is more than a place to stay in Rome. Casa MANNI is an experience of Rome.

The intimate space is divided into a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and terrace, all perfectly suited for a romantic getaway for two. Upon entering the living room, a Persian rug gives the space warmth, while a Cassina glass coffee table and floor lamp offer a modern touch. A remarkable assortment of art books, each carefully chosen by Armando Manni, is displayed on glass shelves in a Macassar ebony wood book case. On the opposite wall, an expansive closet clad in patterned glass, discretely conceals coat wardrobe as well as refrigerator and wet bar area. Facing this closet is the kitchen area partitioned off by a glass wall and equipped with a custom glass wine & bar structure. Dining area sits adjacent to the kitchen area, complete with bespoke table designed by Tihany and antique chairs. Millwork in striped Macassar ebony wood and a series of different glasses in mirrored, transparent, or satin finishes, creates a perfect balance of light, shadow, and reflection. Floors are covered in sleek desert stone tiles, contrasted above by a modern take on traditional coffered Roman ceilings, with gypsum molding in the living room and overlapping squares on the tilted ceiling in the bedroom.

Proceeding down the hall, guests can observe antique African sculptures housed in back-lit yellow glass mounts along the wall. Bathroom floor and walls are made up of Callacata Oro marble, with a full-length shower covered in custom-designed glass mosaic. Bedroom walls are clad in silk wallpaper on bottom and lime green on top. Macassar wood arch frames the bed, surrounded by gorgeous crystal sconces on eitherside and a leather headboard above. Macassar wood molding separates the two sections of the walls, wrapping around at door height above a full-height sliding mirror. An antique desk discovered on the Via dei Coronari, boasts delicate ivory inserts.

The casa’s enviable location and luxurious and bespoke design is also evident on the terrace, equipped with a table for two and accompanying African rocking sun chairs to enjoy a glass of Italian wine while watching the sun set over Rome.
